Sonic Youth

I heard daydream nation ON THE RADIO this morning and about crashed my PRIUS into a group of hippies on broadway. Turning 40 and this still makes me smile and drift into a happy place.

Dust Nuke

Every mountain bike race, motocross, cross country and well any time I have to breath air that messes up my lungs for days on end I have thought there has to be something that works better. I recently car pooled home from a mountain bike race in Winter Park with 6 club members who all had the race cough from breathing the rocky mountain dust kicked up on the downhills. I have an idea. The race filter. The dust nuke taming device is about to become real.

MOGO

Chasing the dream and possibly one of the coolest projects I have had a chance to design Mogo has potential. Chalked full of sustainability, new ideas condensed thinking, make this idea ready for prime time. It will need some time to mature and run the coarse of construction and development processes. On your next road trip and the need strikes for food fuel or a place to go think of the MOGO and stop.

Deep Ellum

Theatre Gallery. When Russell Hobbs rolled into Deep Ellum in his 1959 Mercedes convertible, a good friend and a bag of buds,it was 1984. I was in the 10th grade. The area now known for edgy nightlife, art galleries and wild clothing stores, at the time was empty warehouses, brake shops and hobos pushing shopping carts filled with cans. Check out the read:

Teatro

fresh off the press from the email is a little transformation of a what I would call the most unique of strip malls built in the 80's. Capital City Partners and CA/gh and team charged in a year ago to throw a set of ideas together to create a community backyard entertainment complex that is rooted in movie iconic graphics, california classic simplicity and friendly materials. I really cannot wait to see it completed.

Dazzling

A week of complete showmanship. I can feel the heat and know I am really close to the fire and there is some sort of tide building behind the madness of the economy's mood. I can smell the turkey prepping for his day on the stage and think it is a true juxtaposition with my career. I did have a self realization that maybe I am in the right place and focus is needed on maturity as some have suggested. Less theory and more reality I met with the owner of Dazzle with a partner at work and had a wonderful two hour conversation on their establishment and the success of its current location. I must visit this brunch and evening Jazz experience soon. It is on the to do list before the end of 2008. Reminded me of the tokyo lounges where the locals congregate to escape their tiny condensed homes and surround themselves with like minded people, music and the clanging of dishes bottles and chatter of the day.
